Chatgpt: redefining the real estate developer’s experience?

UncategorizedPublished on December 11, 2023

By January 2023, the site had already registered 590 million monthly visits, with an estimated user base of 100 million people*, using the tool to address personal and professional issues. How can property developers use it to their advantage? With what objectives? Situation update.

1. Rapid access to market data

In light of a constantly evolving property market, it is useful to be able to access, analyse and share data quickly. ChatGPT can identify relevant sources (public, internal databases, estate agency websites, online property portals, property news, crowdfunding platforms, specialist magazines, etc.), provide explanations of market trends and analyse data in relation to specific objectives. It can also provide instantaneous information on project features and plans, to engage potential customers from the outset and convert them into buyers more quickly.

2. Powerful editorial support

Writing is one of ChatGPT’s most frequently used features. It can save property developers time in drafting the many documents they need to send to their stakeholders, from architects to bankers, builders, tradesmen, customers and so on. All they need to do is tell ChatGPT which elements need to be included in the documents, and the site will prepare a draft version of an email, a reply to a customer, a contract, and other documents. ChatGPT can then provide predefined templates and help to create documents that can then be personalised.

3. Easier day-to-day management

ChatGPT does not just produce content. It can also help property developers with their day-to-day tasks:

  • carry out quick searches for available plots of land, specifying criteria such as surface area, price, geographical location, etc.;
  • manage schedules by linking ChatGPT to calendars: plan appointments, send reminders, monitor the progress of property projects and coordinate projects;
  • interact with a wide audience and simultaneously: enable a large number of requests and conversations to be managed efficiently, and even speed up sales processes;
  • provide support on strategic issues relating to the communication and promotion of a property project.

Due to its availability and speed, ChatGPT is a very interesting tool for property developers, enabling them to optimise their sales process, offer a better service to their stakeholders and adapt their strategies to the changing needs of the market. However, as the tool itself makes clear, it does not replace human expertise. Every document drafted and every action carried out must be carefully checked and validated by the developers, who will observe that their experience still outweighs an algorithm.
